functionality is good but need to improve user interface

Inventory of system files I needed to inventory all my files on my hard drive in order to gain a better understanding of the asset value and knowledge base that was currently in our systems. We have a manifold of file types and hte DDFile Catcher software was the ideal application for capturing the file names, type, dates and size.The process took less than 5 minutes to download, apply and then capture the files to an external excel spread sheet. Did not work for me I used this program to convert a Tab delimited text file to a Comma delimited csv file. The program ran fine, and allowed me to select the input and output files. However, the output file was never created. I tried several times, and searched my computer for the output file, but it did not exist.I am using Windows Vista Home Premium. The input file was in .txt format, tab-delimited.

Nice program, but we would need to open UTF-8 encoded files.

Excellent Easy to use Product Killink is a good application because of its ease of use, simple and friendly interface. It basically does exactly what its required to do without having to play with settings every time you open a new csv file. Using excel to edit csv files can be a fiddly process that is unnecessary. Killink has similar functionality in the way the fields are editted so its still familiar which makes using it very comfortable extremely quickly. I've used it to give people with minimal computer skills the functionality to edit csv files with positive results. Good job!

sync tab delimited files While trying Pocket Contacts Synchronizer, I was asked for a Microsoft product. I do not have Microsoft Office installed. I would like to be able to sync a tab delimited contact data file with Contacts on my PPC. Or, sync a spreadsheet file such as xls. Is this possible? If so, any special instructions? Thanks - cmj

Too buggy I tried for several hours to set up a profile that would allow me to download my Thunderbird address book (via csv) to a iPAQ - I never got it to sync correctly, however. Weird text that didn't appear in the csv, etc., prevented the program from being at all useful. Another serious limitation is that there's no way to modify a profile; that is, if you determine that you left off a field or mapped it incorrectly, you must simply start over.
